Sanctuary

In the Space
Sanctuary changes its register with its surroundings. In a hospitality lounge, its greens soften the room and invite people to linger. In an executive office, the same grid reads as composed and assured, bringing warmth without distraction. In a residential setting, it becomes a point of calm in a room’s daily rhythm. In a restaurant, it adapts to the dining room around it: relaxed and sunlit beside a café’s open windows, refined and dramatic beneath gallery lighting in a fine dining room.

Up Close
The geometric precision of the grid gives way to deep physical topography. Each individual square is built using heavy-body acrylics applied with palette knives, creating layered, sculptural peaks and valleys. This raw impasto texture catches directional light, casting subtle micro-shadows within the boxes that shift throughout the day as the room's ambient light changes.

The Material Connection
The heavy, organic texture inside the grid serves a structural purpose in commercial design. Under directional spotlights or natural daylight, the dimensional ridges of the paint catch the light, adding motion to the composition. This raw, hand-sculpted quality provides an excellent textural contrast to sleek commercial surfaces like polished stone, matte metal, and glass.

Made for Your Space
Sanctuary can be commissioned in a scale, canvas depth, and palette variation suited to your environment, while remaining an original, hand-painted work.
